- Prepare and plate all dessert dishes to the Pastry Chef’s recipes and specifications
- Preparing all Pastry mis-en-place for a la carte service
- Ensure that the Bakeshop, the Bakeshop’s equipment and all food storage areas are kept clean
- Execute Baking & Pastry production to meet time, quality, and volume standards
- Ensure proper closure of the Bakeshop by following closing checklist
- Tasks to include dessert plating, bread baking, pasta making, ice creams, sorbets, whole desserts, traditional and modern cake decorating, piping work, stenciling, frozen desserts, quick breads, various cookies, bars and some candy work.
- 2 years minimum of Baking & Pastry experience in a la carte or baking and pastry production environment (Bakery, Cafe or Patisserie)
- Basic knowledge of Baking & Pastry cooking techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 15kg often and stand for extended periods of time
- Speak basic English is required, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamentu is a plus
- Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
